This multidisciplinary group manages patients with malignant diseases of the chest.
The Thoracic Oncology Centre offers comprehensive care, coordinated by a multidisciplinary team including Thoracic Surgeons, Oncologists, Pneumologists, Radiologists, a Radiotherapist, Physiotherapists and Nutritionists.
Video-assisted thoracic procedures:
The specialists in thoracic surgery are accredited specialists in the use of minimally invasive techniques, and conduct the following procedures:

Video-assisted lobectomy, pneumonectomy, segmentectomy or and metastasectomy.

Resection of indeterminate lung nodules, followed by video-assisted lobectomy or pneumonectomy.

Video-assisted bullectomy or lung wedge resection.

Video-assisted decortication.

Video-assisted pleural pericardial window.

Video-assisted mediastinal tumour resection.

Video-assisted bilateral thoracic sympathectomy.

Video-assisted exploratory and evacuating thoracoscopy, for biopsy or pleural sealing.
